Executive Director

The SDMH is a non-profit organization, which supports the equitable integration of effective digital mental health services into the American healthcare system through education, supporting policy change, and bringing together diverse stakeholders to solve problems facing the field.  SDMH is unique in that it is the only organization focused exclusively on digital mental health, and represents all stakeholders, with members from academia, the digital mental health industry, healthcare, policy & regulation, patient advocacy, and other groups.  The  SDMH is around two years old with approximately 500 members, so still a relatively young and evolving organization.

We are looking for a part-time Executive Director, 10-20 hours per week, who will help shape SDMH’s agenda and grow the organization.  Pay will be commensurate with experience. All work will be remote.  The duties of the Executive Director include the following:

  • Develop the strategic goals for the Society, in collaboration with the Board of Directors
  • Oversee SDMH’s operations.  This includes developing relationships with other organizations involved in establishing reimbursement and regulatory processes for digital mental health services (e.g. Digital Therapeutics Alliance, American Psychological Association, etc.); establishing and overseeing workgroups in which SDMH members lead initiatives to address challenges facing digital mental health; assisting in overseeing the work of committees that are charged with operational roles (e.g. Communications, Membership, Special Interest Groups, Conference Planning, etc.); and fundraising.
  • Maintain existing and add new relationships with established donors and sponsors, partners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage the organization’s budget and financial resources.

We are looking for someone with a commitment to the mission and goals of SDMH, strong planning and organizational skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, good communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly.

As a relatively new organization, we anticipate that this would initially be a part time position, which could evolve into a full-time position.  The position is supported by a very committed and active board, as well as an established organizational infrastructure that includes committees and active members.

If you are interested in applying or obtaining more information, please send a CV or resume along with a letter describing your interests and qualifications, or questions you might have, to info@societydmh.org. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
